Lucky England in DRAMATIC comeback

England sneak past Slovakia by the narrowest of margins in the round of 16 at Euro 2024. A stoppage time goal from Jude Bellingham took the Three Lions to extra time before Harry Kane's winner. Not impressive but England continue into the quarter finals! #England #Euro2024

Will play-off LOSERS come back STRONGER??
I've seen all Archie's family since i started watching Leeds in 1964 Since David O Nearly's mob A number of disastrous owners have just been selling all our best young players This is it now for me It's not even a great deal We didn't even get some decent players in part exchange which might have helped Rodon is a half decent Championship player so 10 million is a waste of money But again It's another poor deal Anyway that's me finished to the Yanks have fucked off I hope to see American flags burning when i watch on TV next season
What a phenomenal save!
Brighton just bid £30m for Rutter now!
Benjamin, As a Leeds fan I just watched 'Is There Any Point Pressing Archie Gray?' again here on youtube. I had a little cry inside. It shows exactly what we have lost.
I’m a Leeds fan Ben and I think the sale of Gray is good for Leeds. Ok, we’d have loved him to stay but the money can go to much good. This business is typical now for Championship clubs. Apparently he agreed personal terms with Brentford before the sale failed then he immediately agreed personal terms with Spurs so he wanted to go. Goodbye to him. He’s now, simply, an ex player
At 85 and a Leeds supporter since the early fifties this is me finished with Leeds I will miss them more than they miss me and if people are daft enough to believe that we have big debt problems sit back and look at it more realistically for more than a year we have all known that the 49ers were going to buy Leeds what I am saying they knew what they were buying debt included
I have yet to see any American owners of PL clubs who do not end up being hated by the fans. They're all money first, fans last. I had hoped the 49ers were different, but it doesn't look like it right now. Need to see what business they do in July before making a judgement. Been a Leeds fan since 1978 and always will be.
As a Pompey fan who’s watched you for years, it’s a bit surreal still to see us mentioned in your videos. I’d expect it’ll be a tough ride but don’t expect anything higher than 17th at very most
I believe It is 40 million... 30 mil + Rodon for Gray
£30m for Gray and separate transfer for Joe at £10m
@@1990taskmasterthat's not has been reported, overall deal = 40 mil
@@paulwilson1555 it is reported as £30m for Gray and £10m for Rodon on BBC :/
@@paulwilson1555 not sure what you’re reading, I’ve just checked several sources and it’s defo 25-30m for Gray. Definitely 2 different transfers
He had a £40m release clause
his brother will be better anyway
Fell in Love with Leeds when Allan Clarke joined in 1969/70 season we've been a car crash waiting to happen ever since but I still love them even tho I'm not from Leeds.
Archie Gray is going to have a phenomenal career who is going to be worth at least 60-70 million in a couple of years, a very good move by Spurs, as a Leeds fan I am just so sorry that we could not hold onto him for a couple of years but I feel the club had no choice unfortunately. One worry is that his younger brother Harry could follow him out, he is only 16 but rumoured to be even better than Archie at that age !.
I'm distraught about this. Anybody else. Any number of others. I wouldn't have given a fig. This one is I perhaps too much for me. The light has gone out. I'm done.
I feel the same wash my hands of Leeds after following them for more the seventy years
The Gray family legacy will continue at Leeds with his brother Harry, who looks even better than Archie. He’ll hit the first team in the next couple of seasons.
How do you fix it? You can't... The rules have been written by those at the top to protect their investments at the detriment of the rest. 51% fan/community ownership? Stop clubs selling out to foreign billionaires? Wage cap? Transfer cap? Scrap agents? Pay off your debts first? None of this will happen. English Football sold out... How sad
This one stings a lot but that's football I guess. I want to walk the league next year as an apology from the club!
Loan him to United not sure we have a team at the moment so he’d get regular starts 😂😂😂
The price for having Victor Orta as your DoF unfortunately.
Honestly £40million is a joke, we've been well and truly ripped off
Very sad why it’s had to happen, but I do agree it is a short-term positive if promotion is the target. If it was £20m this would be horrific. The price he was sold for is closer to Endrick / Vini Jr to RM at 18. So, a reluctantly made good deal. Rodon is a boss at this level.
Spurs fan here. Absolutely over the moon with signing Archie Gray. If there was one player from the championship best suited to Ange ball it would he him. The bravery and maturity he has shown already at 18 is gonna suit us to a tee plus he can already play multiple positions in midfield for us as well as inverted rb in a pinch. I think people will be pleasantly surprised with how much he plays too as he will certainly get opportunities to impress in the cups and the Europa league and it will be a matter of time until he is a fixture in the side like we have seen with our other players last season in Udogie, Van de Ven, Sarr etc...
Gone to a big club
Ben. Good point , how rodon is more usedful to playing in the championship than gray.
Leeds fan. Here. Initially it was a shock. But now , with rodon coming back, i think it s a good deal. Just need to see who we bring in.
We’ve just been linked with Bright Osayi Samual. Fenerbache right back
The PSR thing is ok now Ben with the Sini Adams Archie and Red Bull deal
Think Archie will go on to play for England in midfield he lives n breathes football
We’re upset we’re not gonna see him blossom but it’s a good deal and big Joe Rodon is back , a couple more signings we need now and hopefully go one better
its 40M plus addons and we pay 10m for rodon
Who's reporting £40m plus add ons?
It's undisclosed.
Spence & Clarke simply couldn’t cut it at the top level. It’s one thing looking good in the Championship, but it’s another thing completely trying to make an impact at one of the top teams in the country in arguably the best league in the world. Hopefully Gray is better than the previous two and not another dud
The only reason Leeds need the money now is to make sure the figures balance for this coming season. Long Term, they have just received the largest ever sponsorship deal in EFL history with Red Bull, 200M over 3 years. The owners are very well versed in successful sports ownership & have immense backing in the sporting world. LUFC marketing in 7th Highest in UK Football, with shirts sales alone last season 16th in the world. So I think we can say long term it's not the issue but far from ideal having to sell young Gray.
£200m shirt sponsorship over 3 years?!?!?!?!? Are you sure about that....
@@BenjaminBloom it's made up, some random account on Twitter posted it and everyone ran with it. If it were true it would be equal to the same deal Man City has with Etihad and £16m per year more than the deal Liverpool have with Standard Chartered. If there is any truth in the £200m figure, I expect it'll be future capital investment from Red Bull if Leeds get promoted.
I think it's £60 million over 3 years
Good point about Sessegnon and Clarke, I was thinking the same. I think Brentford actually would have been a better move for Gray's development but I still think he will be a future star whatever happens. The deal with Spurs will work work nicely for Leeds as we do need Rodon back for next season at least. Either way it's sad to see any promising player with the Gray legacy have to leave to balance the books 😥
Once you get over the shock this looks like good business. Rodon and Struijk will be formidable in the back 4.
Plus Wöber😄
40m Gray, 10m Rodon, net 30m up.
Sessegon and Clarke signed during the era of Spurs having lost their identity. They as players didn’t fit during the turgid play of Jose, Nuno, and Antonio. Sessegon and Clarke were seen as club signing nor wanted by those managers and didn’t get the chances they should have plus Sessegon had huge injuries which were very unfortunate. Now Spurs are playing attacking, possession based football from the academy to the first team, their is a consistent philosophy now which has been affirmed as the long term style of the club and they will only sign managers who fit into this mold. Ange and the recruitment team pursued Archie for weeks and sold him on his role in midfield ( I think he will be worked in as a 6 at the base of midfield at least rotationally this season). Archie is a big Celtic fan which helped convince him because he knows Ange from his time at Celtic. I back Archie and Spurs to be successful and flourish together and perhaps Archie’s brother Harry may follow him to Spurs as he is a talent as well.
I could've sworn Connor said Archie was a lifelong Leeds fan, or maybe it was Joe. Either way, someone's lying.
Hope they don't loan him to a championship rival 😂 That would be classic Leeds
Leeds really do need the money. They owe a lot. If they don't sort it out now, they'll not only be away from the Premier League for quite some time, but they'll be facing a heavy points deduction and looking at a return to the Championship as their next medium term target. They should consider themselves lucky to have a player they can sell for this much, and in fact have several. Most Championship clubs do not, never mind a remaining squad still well above average even without those players.
Great vid Benjamin. I hope we do get him back on loan so he's around his family and help his development. If we kept him, it would have been hard to keep him after next season. Just hope Spurs don't waste his talent.
Hi Ben iv just subscribed bud
As a Leeds fan Ben, I hope Ange Postecoglou loans him back to Leeds for the season for development purposes
No chance of that when they’ve just paid 40 mill
Or he could do a Frankie Gray (his grandad) and come back 2 years later with European Cup winners medal in his hand.
Thanks Ben leeds leeds leeds
I believe it was £40 million for Archie and £10 Mil for Rodden Ben. Good luck Archie lad. MOT
Just hope we get back to the premier league, its a good fee and we had no choice
The rumors surrounding Summerville have gone quiet, i hope this deal means he might be staying.
One thing for sure leeds can not have a start like they had last season if they want to get of the league .I hope they bring in one or two with decent pedigree.
The one thing you can be certain of as a Leeds supporter is that disaster always lurks around next corner.
NEED I SAY MORE
Think it's 40 million in for Archie. Your spot on with Spurs. He could end up warming the bench. Hope the kid does well.
Ben, this wasn't that unexpected he had a release clause if Leeds failed to get promoted. 30m plus Rodon isn't exactly a disaster. Been supporting Leeds for 50 years plus so nothing is a surprise (aside from Massimo Cellino 😫!!).
Honestly Ben I think this deal is great for all parties. The most shocking part about the deal for me is that Rodon turned down premier league interest to join which of course is absolutely wonderful news for us Leeds fans.
